Overview

mediawiki/core is a Free software wiki application developed by the Wikimedia Foundation and others.

Note: This package is not maintained on Packagist anymore, but newer releases exist.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure via the attr() function which can interpret attributes as different types, including 'URL', which is interpreted as a quoted sting with the url() notation. This allows remote attackers to discover the IP addresses of Wiki visitors via a style="background-image: attr(title url);" attack within a DIV element that has an attacker-controlled URL in the title attribute.
