CWE-78  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade nitsan/ns-backup to version 13.0.1 or higher.

Overview

nitsan/ns-backup is an extension for TYPO3 that lets you save your code, files, and database with just a few clicks. Install Backup Plus and connect it to your cloud storage (like Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, SFTP, Rsync, etc.).

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection through the backup creation process. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands by injecting malicious inputs into the backup command parameters. This is only exploitable if the attacker has authenticated access as a backend user with permissions to the extension's backend module.
