Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output in the Utils::parseUrl function during comment rendering. An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of other users by submitting specially crafted comment text containing malicious URLs. This can lead to session cookie theft and full account takeover when an affected page is viewed by other users, including administrators. This is only exploitable if the main.enableCommentEditor configuration is enabled.
