Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature via the register() method in AuthWebAuthn.php, which fails to validate the WebAuthn registration challenge and lacks a CSRF check. An unauthenticated attacker can forge a WebAuthn registration request by replaying or crafting a response that omits or substitutes the one-time challenge, bypassing the binding between the server-issued challenge and the authenticator's attestation. This allows the attacker to register an arbitrary credential, leading to full account compromise.
