CVE-2024-23648  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-74  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade pimcore/admin-ui-classic-bundle to version 1.2.3 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component due to the use of the Host HTTP header to craft a password reset URL. An attacker can perform account takeover by sending password reset requests with a manipulated Host header pointing to a domain they control.

Notes:

  1. This configuration would be plausible if the attacker is already behind the reverse proxy.

  2. This could lead to a 1-click account takeover
