CWE-89  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade pimcore/pimcore to version 11.5.19, 12.3.10, 2026.1.6 or higher.

Overview

pimcore/pimcore is a content & product management framework (CMS/PIM/E-Commerce).

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to SQL Injection via the buildQueryString process. An attacker can execute arbitrary SQL commands and gain unauthorized access to, modify, or delete database contents by submitting specially crafted input through the report configuration fields. This is only exploitable if the attacker is authenticated and has the reports_config permission.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting the reports_config permission to highly trusted administrators, deploying a WAF rule to block requests to /admin/bundle/customreports/custom-report/update containing SQL keywords in the configuration parameter, or replacing the custom SQL adapter with a parameterized query builder approach.
