showdoc/showdoc is a tool for an IT team to share documents online.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Cryptographic Weakness. It computes a MD5 hash based on a string (rgrsfsrfsrf
), the current time (time()
), and a random number (rand()
). The value returned by time()
is an integer that records the seconds since epoch (1970), and the used string is static. This means that an attacker would either need to know when the generation of the MD5 hash occurred, or be able to brute-force it to break the hash. The rand()
value is considered insecure as well. These three values lead to weak cryptography.
