How to fix?

Upgrade snipe/snipe-it to version 8.5.1 or higher.

Overview

snipe/snipe-it is an asset management system built on Laravel.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Authorization in the selectlist API endpoint due to missing authorization checks. An attacker can enumerate all active user accounts, harvest usernames, collect employee numbers and full names, perform indirect email enumeration, and map user IDs by sending requests with only a valid session cookie. This is only exploitable if the attacker has a valid login to the system.
