snipe/snipe-it is an asset management system built on Laravel.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Privilege Management via the UsersController::update process. An attacker can remove or downgrade another user's administrative or granular permissions by submitting an update request with a missing permission field, which is then processed by NormalizePermissionsPayloadAction and PreserveUnauthorizedPrivilegedPermissionsAction to overwrite the target user's permissions with a sparse result.
