Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to User Impersonation via the OAuth login process when using a provider that does not guarantee verified email addresses. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to existing user accounts, including those with elevated privileges, by signing in with an unverified email address. This is only exploitable if OAuth login is enabled with a provider that does not ensure email verification.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by only enabling OAuth with providers that guarantee verified email addresses, or by disabling OAuth login.
