Overview

symfony/symfony is a PHP framework for web applications and a set of reusable PHP components.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Interpretation Conflict via the SymfonyRuntime::getInput process. An attacker can modify environment variables and enable debug mode by sending specially crafted GET requests that exploit discrepancies between parse_str() and the web SAPI's handling of query strings. This is only exploitable if the application is running under web SAPI with register_argc_argv=On and is booted through the runtime component.
