Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output in the html_to_markdown, markdown_to_html, and inline_css filters due to incorrect declaration of output safety. An attacker can inject unescaped HTML or script content by supplying specially crafted input that is processed by these filters and then rendered in a sensitive context, such as within a JavaScript string or URL parameter.
