CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade vrana/adminer to version 5.5.1 or higher.

Overview

vrana/adminer is a Database management in a single file.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Input Validation in the processing of the X-Forwarded-Prefix header due to improper validation of backslash characters. An attacker can manipulate the Set-Cookie Path attribute by supplying a specially crafted header value, potentially leading to anomalous cookie-path scoping. This is only exploitable if clients are able to set the X-Forwarded-Prefix header, such as when a reverse proxy is misconfigured or absent.
