CVE-2024-25738  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-918  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade vufind/vufind to version 9.1.1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Server-side Request Forgery (SSRF) via the /Upgrade/FixConfig route. An attacker can overwrite local configuration files to gain access to the administrator panel and achieve remote code execution by exploiting the server-side request forgery vulnerability. This is only exploitable if the allow_url_include PHP runtime setting is on and the /Upgrade route is exposed.
