CWE-306  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade wwbn/avideo to version 26.0 or higher.

Overview

wwbn/avideo is an Audio and Video Platform or simply "A Video Platform".

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Authentication for Critical Function via the decryptMessage.json.php endpoint, which processes user-supplied private keys, encrypted messages, and passphrases without requiring authentication. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive decryption operations and potentially expose private key material by submitting crafted requests to this endpoint. This can also lead to excessive server resource consumption through repeated unauthenticated decryption requests.
