Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Cross-site Request Forgery (CSRF) via the setPermission.json.php endpoint. An attacker can modify user group permissions and escalate privileges by tricking an authenticated administrator into visiting a malicious web page that issues crafted GET requests. This is possible because the endpoint accepts state-changing operations via GET parameters, lacks CSRF token validation, and session cookies are set with SameSite=None, allowing them to be sent in cross-origin requests.
