Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling through the build_chain_inner function. An attacker can cause excessive resource consumption by submitting a certificate chain containing duplicate self-signed intermediates, which leads to exponential path-building and significant delays in certificate validation.
