Upgrade cryptography
to version 41.0.2 or higher.
Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation in the SSH certificate decoding process. An attacker can cause the application to accept unauthorized SSH certificates generated by ssh-keygen
, or cause certificates generated by SSHCertificateBuilder
to fail when read by ssh-keygen
.
Note: This is only exploitable if the attacker controls the SSH certificate generation process or can introduce crafted SSH certificates into the system.
