Overview

dbt-mcp is an A MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for interacting with dbt resources.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Origin Validation Error in the GET /dbt_platform_context endpoint, which is exposed without authentication or host-origin validation. An attacker can obtain sensitive OAuth tokens by sending unauthenticated HTTP requests to the local FastAPI server, either through DNS rebinding attacks or from a co-located process on the same host. This allows unauthorized access to the victim's dbt Cloud API and persistent access via the refresh token.
