Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Deserialization of Untrusted Data in the ApplyFeatureView handler of registry_server.py, which calls FeatureView.from_proto and deserializes the feature view's embedded user-defined function before the apply permission is checked. An attacker can execute arbitrary code on the registry server by sending an ApplyFeatureView request whose feature view carries a malicious serialized UDF, which is deserialized and instantiated during the permission-validation step ahead of authorization. Exploitation requires access to port 6570 (gRPC).
