CWE-256  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade lemur to version 1.9.2 or higher.

Overview

lemur is a Certificate management and orchestration service

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Credential Exposure due to the improper handling of password updates in the update function. An attacker can obtain plaintext credentials by exfiltrating the users table, backups, read replicas, or query logs. This is only exploitable if an administrator changes a user's password via the admin-only PUT endpoint.
