Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource via the upload_attachment function in both the Jira and Confluence attachment modules, where a caller-supplied file_path argument is accepted without confinement to the working directory. An authenticated attacker can supply an absolute path or a ../-traversal sequence as file_path, causing the server to read and exfiltrate arbitrary files from the host filesystem by uploading them as attachments to Jira or Confluence.
