CWE-306  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade mcp-memory-service to version 10.67.1 or higher.

Overview

mcp-memory-service is an Open-source persistent memory for AI agent pipelines and Claude. REST API + semantic search + knowledge graph + autonomous consolidation. Self-host, zero cloud cost.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Authentication for Critical Function in the HTTP REST server component, specifically the /api/documents/* endpoints, which lack authentication enforcement even when API key or OAuth is enabled. An attacker can read, write, and delete memory store contents belonging to authenticated users by sending unauthenticated HTTP requests to these endpoints.
