How to fix?

Upgrade openssl-encrypt to version 1.4.9 or higher.

Overview

openssl-encrypt is an A package for secure file encryption and decryption based on modern ciphers using heavy-compute-load chaining of hashing and KDF to generate strong encryption password based on users provided password to ensure secure encryption of files

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature in the USBDriveCreator._verify_integrity_file process. An attacker can bypass integrity checks by adding unauthorized files, such as a root-level autorun payload, to a removable drive, which are not detected during verification. Additionally, the use of a globally constant, source-embedded KDF salt for drives lacking a per-drive salt file allows an attacker to perform offline rainbow-table attacks to derive encryption keys.
