Overview

picklescan is a Security scanner detecting Python Pickle files performing suspicious actions

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs via the reduce method during deserialization. An attacker can execute arbitrary operating system commands by crafting malicious pickle files that leverage numpy.testing._private.utils.runstring to import and invoke dangerous libraries when the pickle file is loaded.
