Snyk has a proof-of-concept or detailed explanation of how to exploit this vulnerability.
The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow via ImagingJpegDecode in src/libImaging/JpegDecode.c when processing a JPEG file whose header declares scanlines wider or with more components than the tile extents used to size the scanline buffer. Because the buffer is sized from tile extents rather than the JPEG header, libjpeg can write beyond the allocated buffer, allowing an attacker who supplies a malicious JPEG image to achieve a heap buffer overflow with potential for arbitrary code execution.
