Snyk has a proof-of-concept or detailed explanation of how to exploit this vulnerability.
The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free via ImagingLibTiffEncode in src/libImaging/TiffDecode.c when a libtiff encode error occurs. The cleanup logic in the error path frees or closes TIFF resources (calling TIFFCleanup/TIFFClose or free(clientstate->data)) without nulling the corresponding pointers, while the dedicated cleanup function ImagingLibTiffEncodeCleanup subsequently operates on those already-freed resources. An attacker who can trigger a TIFF encode error can exploit this use-after-free condition to crash the process.
