How to fix?

Upgrade pipecat-ai to version 1.4.0 or higher.

Overview

pipecat-ai is an An open source framework for voice (and multimodal) assistants

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Authorization via the telephony WebSocket (/ws) and plain WebSocket (/ws-client) endpoints, which accepts attacker-controlled handshake messages containing a callSid field. An attacker can forcibly terminate active calls or abuse telephony provider credentials by injecting a valid call identifier and triggering pipeline termination, causing the server to issue authenticated REST API requests on behalf of the attacker. This is only exploitable if the development runner is exposed to untrusted networks while configured with valid Twilio, Telnyx, or Plivo credentials.
