How to fix?

Upgrade pyload-ng to version 0.5.0b3.dev97 or higher.

Overview

pyload-ng is a The free and open-source Download Manager written in pure Python

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Authorization via the storage_folder configuration option, which allows a user with SETTINGS and ADD permissions to redirect downloads to the Flask session store. An attacker can execute arbitrary code by planting a malicious pickle payload as a session file and triggering its deserialization through a crafted HTTP request carrying the corresponding session cookie.

Note:

  1. This is only exploitable if a non-admin user has both SETTINGS and ADD permissions assigned.

  2. This vulnerability is the result of an insufficient fix for a previously identified issue CVE-2026-33509.
