Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Server-side Request Forgery (SSRF) in the parse_urls API endpoint due to improper handling of HTTP redirects. An attacker can access internal or cloud metadata endpoints and exfiltrate sensitive information by supplying a crafted URL that causes the server to follow a redirect to a private or internal IP address.
