Overview

pyload-ng is a The free and open-source Download Manager written in pure Python

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Timing Attack via the _check_password function in src/pyload/core/database/user_database.py, which compares password hashes using the == operator rather than a constant-time comparison. An attacker can exploit the timing difference in string comparison to infer valid credentials character by character. Additionally, the getUserData and get_userdata API endpoints are accessible to any authenticated user without elevated permissions, exposing user credential data to low-privileged accounts.
