Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Excessive Iteration in its document outline retrieval, which processes outline entries and nested outline paths without bounding the work done. An attacker can cause prolonged execution and large memory usage by supplying a PDF whose outline holds a very large number of entries, or nested outlines with long re-used nesting paths. This requires the application to retrieve the outline of an attacker-supplied PDF.
