How to fix?

Upgrade pypdf to version 6.16.1 or higher.

Overview

pypdf is an A pure-python PDF library capable of splitting, merging, cropping, and transforming PDF files

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Excessive Iteration in its text extraction of pages that contain XForm objects, which processes those objects without limiting the work across reused ones. An attacker can cause long runtimes and large memory consumption by supplying a PDF whose page contains many XForm objects, particularly ones reused throughout the document. This requires the application to extract text from a page holding multiple, reused XForm objects.
