Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via number2uppercase_letter (and its lowercase counterpart) in _page_labels.py when processing a PDF with a large alphabetical page label index. Because no upper bound is enforced on the repetition count before constructing the label string, an attacker can supply a PDF whose page label numbering scheme maps to an arbitrarily large integer, causing the process to allocate an unbounded string and crash the application.
