Overview

serena-agent is an A powerful MCP toolkit for coding, providing semantic retrieval and editing capabilities - the IDE for your agent

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Cross-site Request Forgery (CSRF) in the unauthenticated Flask dashboard API, which is exposed on a fixed port without authentication, CSRF protection, or Host header validation. An attacker can execute arbitrary OS commands, read sensitive agent logs, write persistent payloads, overwrite configuration, or shut down the agent by tricking a victim into visiting a malicious webpage that performs a DNS rebinding attack to access the local API endpoints.
