Snyk has a proof-of-concept or detailed explanation of how to exploit this vulnerability.
The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection via insufficient escaping of the VIRTUAL_ENV_PROMPT variable in src/virtualenv/activation/bash/activate.sh. When a virtual environment is activated in bash or zsh, the prompt string is interpolated into PS1 without fully neutralising backslashes, dollar signs, and backticks, allowing an attacker who controls the virtual environment's prompt value to inject arbitrary shell commands that execute in the context of the activating user's shell session.
