Overview

vllm is an A high-throughput and memory-efficient inference and serving engine for LLMs

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the prompt field in the /v1/completions API endpoint, which accepts an unbounded list and causes the system to create a separate engine generator and response slot for each prompt. An attacker can exhaust CPU, memory, async scheduling capacity, engine request slots, and response buffering by submitting a single crafted request.
