How to fix?

Upgrade vllm to version 0.29.0 or higher.

Overview

vllm is an A high-throughput and memory-efficient inference and serving engine for LLMs

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the cache_salt field across multiple API protocol handlers (Anthropic, OpenAI chat completion, OpenAI completion, OpenAI responses, pooling, and scale-out endpoints), which accepts an unbounded-length string. An unauthenticated remote attacker can submit a request with an arbitrarily large cache_salt value, causing excessive CPU consumption in the scheduler during block hashing and prefix cache operations, resulting in a crash.
