How to fix?

Upgrade vllm to version 0.25.0 or higher.

Overview

vllm is an A high-throughput and memory-efficient inference and serving engine for LLMs

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value via image decompression bomb handling in load_bytes (in vllm/multimodal/media/image.py) and the video frame loader in vllm/multimodal/video.py. An attacker can supply a small, highly compressed image or video whose decoded raster dimensions far exceed available memory, causing the process to exhaust memory and crash.
