CWE-639  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade decidim to version 0.30.4 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key via the private_exports process. An attacker can access another user's private data exports by exploiting UUID collisions that occur when the UUID is converted to an integer, causing files to be attached to the wrong export record. This can result in unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by fully disabling the private exports feature until a patch is available.
