How to fix?

Avoid using all malicious instances of the ise18n package.

Overview

ise18n is a malicious package. This package contains malicious code, and its content was removed from the official package manager. While this package might be attempting to impersonate a valid organization, there is no connection between that organization and this package.

Attack Vector The package relies on common developer typing errors (misspelling popular RubyGems like i18n, bundler, activesupport, json, or rake) to trick users into installing it. Upon running gem install (or during dependency resolution), a malicious post-install hook executes. It fingerprints the system (gathering username, domain, and OS metadata), fetches a loader, and delivers an encrypted Go-based infostealer designed to exfiltrate credentials, browser data, and system information.
