CWE-94  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade rubygems-update to version 2.7.9, 3.0.2 or higher.

Overview

rubygems-update is an inbuilt rubygem for updating rubygems.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary Code Injection due to the gem owner command outputs the contents of the API response directly to stdout. Therefore, if the response is crafted, escape sequence injection may occur.
