Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Incorrectly-Resolved Name or Reference through the interpretation of PAX headers during archive extraction. An attacker can place unexpected files onto a victim's filesystem by crafting tar archives with manipulated entries that are selectively visible or invisible depending on the extraction tool used.
