Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource due to the creation of a world-writable directory at /var/log/below. This misconfiguration allows local unprivileged users to perform symlink attacks, potentially manipulating critical system files such as /etc/shadow, leading to root privilege escalation.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by changing the permission on /var/log/below manually
