Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Handling of Unicode Encoding in the ln process when handling source paths containing non-UTF-8 filename bytes with target-directory forms. An attacker can cause the utility to fail and disrupt automated scripts or system tasks by providing valid but non-UTF-8 filenames, resulting in a non-zero exit code and interruption of operations.
