Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to User Interface (UI) Misrepresentation of Critical Information in the id process when the real UID and effective UID differ. An attacker can cause misleading diagnostic output by triggering the process to use the effective GID instead of the effective UID for name lookup, potentially leading automated scripts or system administrators to make incorrect decisions regarding file permissions or access control.
