Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Incorrectly-Resolved Name or Reference via the cp process when performing recursive copies with the -R option. An attacker can cause semantic loss of device nodes and potentially exhaust disk space or hang processes by copying character or block device nodes, which are incorrectly treated as stream sources and written as regular files instead of being preserved as device nodes.
