Overview

deno is an a simple, modern and secure runtime for JavaScript and TypeScript that uses V8 and is built in Rust.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection via the transformDenoShellCommand process. An attacker can execute arbitrary operating system commands by supplying crafted arguments to spawnSync or spawn with shell: true, which are improperly sanitized when containing a $VAR pattern. This allows bypassing of the intended security restrictions.
