CWE-300  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade hyper to version 0.9.4 or higher.

Overview

hyper is a modern HTTP library.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Man-in-the-Middle (MitM). When used on Windows platforms, hostname verification is not performed when making HTTPS requests. This allows an attacker to perform MitM attacks by preventing any valid CA-issued certificate, even if there's a hostname mismatch.
