Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Not Failing Securely ('Failing Open') in the verify_profile_packs process. An attacker can execute unverified or malicious code on the host system by removing both the lockfile entry and the trust bundle, causing the verification to fail open and allowing unauthorized packs to load without proper artifact or provenance checks. This is only exploitable if both the lockfile entry and trust bundle are absent while the pack directory remains present.
